Ontario is continuing to improve local highway infrastructure that will promote economic development and job creation throughout the Timiskaming-Cochrane region, through a number of completed or ongoing projects.
The projects, which are part of the Northern Highways Program, include:
§Completion of the $840,000 rehabilitation of the Calamity Creek Culvert on Highway 11 north of New Liskeard;
§Completion of the $5.8 million rehabilitation of the South Wabi Creek Bridge on Highway 65 west of New Liskeard;
§Ongoing $9.7 million resurfacing of Highway 11 south of Highway 64 near Tilden Lake;
§Completion of the $3.1 rehabilitation of the Veuve River Bridge on Highway 17 near Hagar;
§Completion of the $6.7 million rehabilitation the ONR Bridge on Highway 112 south of Kirkland Lake;
§Completion of the $13 million replacement of the Sturgeon River Bridge at Field;
§Ongoing $6.2 million resurfacing Highway 575 between Verner and Field;
§Ongoing $21.9 million rehabilitation of Highway 11 north of Englehart;
§Ongoing $3.09 million reconstruction of Highway 571 near Earlton;
§Ongoing $3.7 million intersection improvement at Highway 11 and Highway 101 West near Matheson;
§Ongoing $5.8 million rehabilitation of Wabi River Bridge and Highway 65 overpass in New Liskeard.
