The Town of Englehart is encouraging new business development with the help of the Ontario government. Municipal services are being extended to a 40-acre parcel of land near Highway 11.
The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) is providing $315,000 to extend municipal water and sewage services to the future commercial and industrial park site. Funding will also be used toward the cost of completing engineering and designs necessary to the installation of the municipal services.
